Sabra JNF Conference
Each year our Sabra grades have a special field trip...
This year our 10th-12th grade students will be attending the JNF (Jewish National Fund) Conference in Denver, CO!
The JNF Conference is designed to be a weekend filled with “inspiring personalities from across the globe, of Israeli innovation up close and personal. It will have multiple tracks:
- one for adult lay leaders
- one for college students
- and most significantly one that will cater to 250 high school teens who are coming from across the globe.
The high school track will include special sessions on preparing for dealing with Israel on college campuses, meaningful Shabbat programs, and a deep dive into the diversity of the modern state of Israel. All of these categories compliment the goals of the Sabra program.
Most importantly, the trip is designed to create meaningful shared memories for our teens with each other. We will be conducting multiple ice breakers during the trip to help us along these lines. We are particularly excited about the Saturday night party for all of the teens attending the conference.
The conference will be safely facilitated with security teams, in addition we will be bringing three staff to ensure a safe experience for our teens.
Sabra will cover the registration fee and a majority of the airfare. To help offset the cost and ensure the commitment of our participants, students need to pay a non-refundable $100 travel fee if signed up by July 15, or $200 if signed up after the July 15 deadline.
** Our tentative travel plans have us flying out late afternoon Thursday, November 30, returning late afternoon, Sunday, December 3rd. More details will follow** This may change when making the final arrangements.
The crowd. The energy. The excitement. The pride.
