Congregation Beth Am's Rimon Society
As my father planted for me, so do I plant for my children.
~ Talmud
Jewish tradition states that one of our key duties is to make the world a better place for future generations.
Welcome to the Beth Am Rimon Society. Your legacy secures the future of our community: to educate our children, to care for our elderly, to strengthen our Jewish identity, to preserve our culture and heritage, to support and grow our synagogue programs, and to make a difference in the lives of future generations.
Why did we call it the Rimon Society?
"Rimon" is the Hebrew word for pomegranate. Pomegranates symbolize prosperity, fruitfulness, and fertility. According to the sages, pomegranates remind us that the life we are living is for the benefit and blessings of others. We thought it a fitting name for our legacy donors.
What is a legacy or planned gift?
A legacy or planned gift is a charitable contribution that you make as a provision in your will, other estate planning document, or beneficiary form. No amount is too small, and this process can be completed with your lawyer or investment advisor. We have also partnered with the Jewish Community Foundation, San Diego to help our members with their legacy giving. Congregation Beth Am considers any donor who makes a legacy gift a Rimon Society member.
The beauty of a Jewish legacy is that it's yours to create.
Honor your lifetime of giving by including Congregation Beth Am in your estate plan.
Why is Legacy Gifting important?
Legacy giving is a unique method that allows our donors to support our synagogue without impacting their cash flow at all. There are huge potential tax benefits for the donor and their estate, and it allows donors to take advantage of market trends, like real estate holdings as one example.
Everyone has a unique family and financial situation.
Your legacy commitment of any size can be designed to match your personal circumstances.
