Jewish Learning Center [JLC]
JLC 2024-25|5785: Engaging and community centered
-
Group centered learning experiences: Grow with us as we empower our teachers and assistants with group centered learning games and challenges and have added to our calendar our annual retreat for our 4th to 6th grade.
-
Experiential learning: We will continue with our well received electives that allow students to create Jewish learning moments where they will learn through experience with such electives as cooking, guitar playing, arts & crafts, and more.
-
Informal Jewish Education: After a few years of discussion, we are excited to achieve our vision of including informal Jewish education as part of your child’s JLC experience. JLC tuition includes membership in our K-6 youth programs. This will include weekly newsletters, free events and subsidized events.
-
Teen Assistants/Madrikhim: We are so proud as our JLC graduates return to serve as mentors for our students. These Madrikhim will serve as small group facilitators for Judaica and Hebrew.
-
Partnership with Israel: We have partnered with the Jewish Federation and to again welcome a Shinshin Shay Silman, to our campus. A shinshin is a young adult from Israel, who has graduated high school and who has trained to provide meaningful and experiential programs about Israel.
What do we teach?
Healthy Learning On Campus
During class students will be offered snacks. All classrooms and snacks are peanut free and we strive to be aware of any other food allergies and dietary restrictions. We ask that you do not send any outside food unless previously approved. All snacks and meals provided are kosher. Please speak to us if you have any concerns.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our community together and healthy!
