Michael Lobatz, MD, is a Beth Am member, Senior Neurologist at The Neurology Center of Southern California and Medical Director of the Rehabilitation Center at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas, an avid hiker and world traveler.

In 2016, Michael went on a life changing journey, when he joined a group of committed volunteers on a month-long trek into the remote regions of the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau to provide medical and humanitarian aid. Since then, Michael has had the privileged of returning two more times to provide medical care to the Nepalese in the remote regions of Nepal.

Dr. Lobatz will share his experience of providing healthcare to those who live in these isolated mountain communities through beautiful photos and storytelling.
